Know an Extraordinary Woman?

WCBD News 2 in Charleston is excited to announce the launch of this year’s Remarkable Women initiative – and we would love your help recognizing the extraordinary women who make our community stronger every day.

Because you share a deep commitment to celebrating leadership and community impact, we’re asking you to help spread the word by sharing this initiative with your members, and let’s recognize the great work by women in your community.

You can invite people to submit nominations at https://www.counton2.com/remarkable

News 2 will select four women to highlight in March, and a fifth will be named the Lowcountry’s most remarkable woman for 2026, and will receive a $1,000 donation from our station to the nonprofit of her choice.

She will then embark on a trip to Nashville, Tennessee where she will share in fellowship with other remarkable women from across the country who were selected for their compassion, accomplishments, and dedication to others.

Please take a moment to watch this short video overview: https://youtu.be/-TV5ySN-EBo

We hope you’ll help us celebrate the women who make the Lowcountry such a remarkable place to live, work, and thrive.
