Board Takes Official Position on 500 N Main

 After careful consideration of both community sentiment and long-term economic projections, the Chamber believes it is essential to move forward with a plan that balances progress with preservation.

Following the conclusion of our recent community survey—conducted by a third-party firm—and in consultation with two independent consultants who provided expert analysis of the results, the Board of Directors of the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce has voted to take an official position on the future of 500 North Main Street.


This decision reflects not only the feedback from our residents, but also the significant economic impact that redevelopment of this 5.3-acre site will have on our entire community.
