Steve Reel Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Knight’s Companies Redi-Mix Division

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Steve Reel, formerly Vice President of Knight’s Companies Redi-Mix Division, was recently promoted to the position of Redi-Mix Chief Operating Officer (COO).

 

Knight’s Companies President and CEO Pete Knight stated “Steve has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, operational excellence and a deep commitment to both our people and our customers. His industry experience, collaborative approach, and focus on continuous improvement have made a meaningful impact across the organization.”

 

In addition to Redi-Mix, Reel will oversee the company's trucking and pumping operations in this new role. He will also provide leadership across shared services, including fleet maintenance and logistics.

 

Reel is a graduate of North Carolina State University and Campbell University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing and his Master of Business Administration, respectively.

 

Prior to Knight’s, Reel has an extensive background in the construction and concrete industry, having worked in high profile roles for companies including Martin Marietta Materials, S.T. Wooten Corporation, Synagro Technologies, and Capital Ready Mix Concrete. His roles have expanded across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, North and South Carolina and Tennessee.

 

Reel will play a significant role in advancing the company's Business Intelligence capabilities to support more informed decision-making and continued growth. He will also work closely with leadership across Murray Mines – a Knight’s Materials company – to ensure strong alignment and coordination.

 

Knight added that Reel’s expanded responsibilities reflect both his proven track record and the company’s continued focus on operational excellence, coordination and execution.
