Dorchester County released its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan to guide the County’s decision-making, resource allocation, and service delivery over the next several years. To accompany the Plan, the County is now releasing its new performance dashboard.

The dashboard highlights the County’s progress in achieving its strategic goals through 2027. Progress will be updated quarterly to reflect new developments, including status changes and the addition of new action items as work advances.

“Our new Strategic Plan positions the County to look ahead and proactively plan for the future of Dorchester County,” said Dorchester County Council Chairman David Chinnis. “This performance dashboard provides the community with a clear and transparent way to follow the progress and see how we are advancing the initiatives that support sustainable growth, enhanced services, and improved quality of life.”

The County’s Strategic Plan focuses on six focus areas to include community health, infrastructure, growth management, public safety, service delivery, and workforce development. The purpose of the plan is to define a clear direction for the County’s future, ensuring alignment of daily operations and long-term initiatives with the community’s needs and expectations.
