SUMMERVILLE MEDICAL CENTER WELCOMES JEFF TAYLOR AS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Summerville, SC (February 17, 2020) – Today Summerville Medical Center welcomes Jeff Taylor as the
hospital’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Jeff has been an executive with HCA Healthcare for the past 9 years, he was most recently the Chief
Operating Officer at HCA Healthcare’s Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. Prior to that
position, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, MO.

Todd Gallati, Trident Health President & CEO. “He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will
be a significant resource as Summerville Medical Center continues to grow to meet the needs of our
community.”

Taylor is joining Summerville Medical Center at a time of extensive growth and expansion. The hospital
has invested more than $100 million into expanding its facility and services. In 2019, the hospital
completed a $61 million women’s services & surgical services expansion. This year, Summerville Medical
Center will complete a $24 million ER expansion and open Brighton Park Emergency, a new freestanding
ER near Nexton in Berkeley County. “I’m really excited about the expansion and new construction that’s
underway right now. This hospital is going through incredible growth. It’s a sign of progress and the
community’s confidence in the work we do here,” said Taylor.

Taylor earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Missouri Southern State University
and his Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of Missouri. He is joined by his
wife, Lauren, and their three children in moving to the Summerville area.

Summerville Medical Center is a 124-bed, acute-care hospital with a 24-hour emergency room, a
dedicated ER for children, and comprehensive medical services. The facility enjoys an enviable
reputation for its women’s and children’s services including "home-like" birthing suites. Surgical services
include orthopedic, reflux, robotic and weight loss surgeries. Summerville Medical Center is part of
Trident Health, which has earned recognition as a leader in the delivery of healthcare in the Lowcountry.

For more than 40 years staff and physicians at Trident Health have provided acute healthcare services
to families in South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Services are provided through its two hospitals, Trident
Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center; two freestanding emergency departments, Moncks
Corner Medical Center and Centre Pointe Emergency; and two urgent care centers, CareNow Urgent
Care Goose Creek and CareNow Urgent Care North Charleston. Both hospitals have received top ranking
as Joint Commission Top Hospitals for Quality Performance and are Joint Commission Certified for
