The Dorchester Heritage Center (DHC) has an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for preserving history and a knack for fundraising.


 As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the DHC is dedicated to unearthing, conserving, and educating others about the captivating history of the inland lowcountry. Now, they're on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual to join their team as the Manager of Philanthropy Programs and Membership.


The Dorchester Heritage Center stands as a beacon of historical preservation and education. With a steadfast commitment to uncovering the rich history of the region, DHC provides a platform for communities to connect with their past, fostering a deeper appreciation for the heritage that shapes their present.


The Role: Manager of Philanthropy Programs and Membership


As the Manager of Philanthropy Programs and Membership, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of DHC. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around planning and managing the Center's giving programs and membership drives. These initiatives offer individuals the chance to actively contribute to DHC's mission while enjoying a personalized connection to the organization.


**Preferred Qualifications:**


- A 4-year degree in a related discipline.

- A minimum of 4 years of fundraising experience, with at least 2 years working on major donor programs.

- Preferably, experience working with nonprofit organizations.

- An unwavering motivation to support DHC's mission.

- The ability to build and nurture trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
