Warming Center at Seacoast Church

Donations Needed

After many years of the County soliciting local organizations, Seacoast Church Summerville stepped up in a BIG way last year and opened their doors during the coldest nights to provide a warming center for the unsheltered population and those without heat.  With support from Tri-County Links (transportation); Summerville Medical Center (laundry linens); local law enforcement (security), and several other organizations/churches, Seacoast was able to deliver additional wrap-around services as well.

As they prepare to execute their winter warming center mission, they need monetary support to close the funding gap for several areas including laundering bed comforters.  If your organization or business is willing to donate, please visit https://seacoastlegacy.org.  If you have any questions about donating or would like more information about how you can get involved, please contact Summer Zimmerman at [email protected].

Lastly, please watch for more information concerning the growing homeless issue in our area.  Local county government will be announcing ways to bring the community together to identify needs and offer solutions.
