Town community hours to boost business

The Town of Summerville launched weekly community coffee chats.

In September, the Town of Summerville Economic Development Manager, Michael Lisle, began hosting what he calls community office hours. The goal is to support small businesses and entrepreneurship in town.

Lisle explained that the "office hours" at different coffee shops around town will allow him to answer questions in a convenient forum for residents.

The program rotates locations with Monday morning at Coastal Coffee Roasters. Wednesday meetings are being held at Bigby Coffee in Oakbrook, and Thursdays "office hours" will be held at the North Main Starbucks in Nexton. The hours are 8:30 until 9:30 am.

Lisle said he's answering questions about starting a business in town or growing an existing business in Summerville.
