Sponsorship opportunities at several levels are available

The Summerville Museum and Research Center was founded in 1992 by a group of civic minded citizens of Summerville SC to preserve the history of Summerville.

Headquartered in the Old Summerville Police Station a block from the site of the old Summerville Train Depot at Hutchinson Sq at 100 East Doty Ave, the Summerville the museum has historic artifacts of Summerville’s past, provides interpretive tours of the museum and lectures on specific eras, people and historic sites of Summerville’s history.

On Sunday February 5th, 2023 the Summerville Museum will celebrate its first 30 years of work preserving the Town’s history and the people who made it all happen during that time.

A celebration showcasing the museum will take place that day in the afternoon from 3:00PM – 6:00PM, guests can leisurely stroll through the exhibit areas and displays. View the Saul Alexander Garden house, where he played cards with his friends. (Saul Alexanders Department store now houses CUPPA MANNA coffee shop at 100 South Main St, just off Hutchinson Sq)

Sponsorship opportunities are available at several levels and Summerville Museum members will be around town with sponsor packets inviting businesses to join us in our celebration, or you can contact the Museum at 843-875-9666 and a sponsor packet will be delivered to you!

We at the Summerville Museum are excited to celebrate our first 30 years and look forward to telling the story of Summerville, South Carolina to future generations for years and years well into the next century.
