The Summerville DREAM Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they have selected Steven Doniger as the new Executive Director. Doniger is a Summerville resident with a business management degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and has over 25 years of professional experience in business development, events management and marketing.

Throughout his career in municipal development, recreation services and as a small business entrepreneur, he has worked diligently to foster public/private partnerships that expand reinvestment opportunities and make impactful and long-lasting community improvements. Doniger has been involved in Dorchester Schools as a PTA and band booster president and is currently serving as a board member of the Summerville Miracle League. Doniger is an advocate of Main Street revitalization and has a firm belief that our historic downtown is a critical destination for commerce and community gatherings.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the Summerville community. I am dedicated to celebrating our past successes and inspired by new horizons to be explored. I recognize that I am standing on the shoulders of past executives that have created successful programs, and it’s my responsibility to continue those traditions. I look to improve and expand resources that benefit our partners, businesses and the community overall,” said Doniger.

“We are fortunate to have Steve join the Summerville DREAM staff,” said Rhonda Moore, president of the Board of Directors. “His love of community and his experience in the non-profit sector are assets to our organization. I am excited about the future of DREAM and our efforts to preserve, promote and protect the Summerville community.”

Doniger officially begins his tenure in the next two weeks but has begun working with staff and board members to highlight program and organization initiatives.

Summerville DREAM is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Summerville by enhancing the aesthetic, cultural, social and economic aspects of the downtown area through event coordination, business education, advocacy, beautification/enhancement projects, tourism promotion, and business marketing.
