October Happenings at the Museum

Come one, come all!

There's a lot going on at the Museum in October, and we want you to be a part of it.  Here is a list of events:


October 7 - Saturday at 2:00 pm.   It's Everyone's History!  Docent Donna Ottone from Middleton Place will be joining us at the Summerville Museum and Research Center, 100 East Doty Ave, Summerville, SC 29483 to share a great history. Tickets are $5.00 for Adults. Children are free.  Limited seating is available; please sign up in advance at [email protected] or call 843-875-9666.


October 12 - Thursday at 6:30 pm.  We are painting a garden house!  Paint Night benefits the Summerville Museum and Research Center. The cost is $40.00, and tickets must be purchased in advance at the museum on Thursdays through Saturdays, 10 am - 4 pm, or through the cash app $PamelaGiesick. Questions? Email

Saturday - October 14 from 11 am - 2 pm.  We will be having our 1st Annual Gunboat Sue Gelzer Bake Sale and Cake Walk to raise funds for the Summerville Museum and Research Center, 100 East Doty Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483. To volunteer or contribute, please contact Pam Giesick at
