Applications Now Open for Leadership Dorchester 2026


The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the Leadership Dorchester Class of 2026. This premier program is designed to cultivate informed, connected, and forward-thinking leaders who will help shape the future of Dorchester County. Applications are due by November 7, 2025.


There are two open house events to learn more  about the program.

About the Program


Leadership Dorchester is an 11-month intensive and comprehensive study of the political, civic, economic, and social dynamics within Dorchester County. The program begins with an overnight retreat and concludes with a graduation ceremony, celebrating participants’ achievements and growth.


Graduates of Leadership Dorchester are uniquely equipped to educate their peers, colleagues, and potential residents about the opportunities and strengths of our region.

Participants in Leadership Dorchester will:


  • Engage in team-building exercises that strengthen collaboration and communication.


  • Expand their professional networks with peers and community leaders.
