Program Overview & Key Details:
- Applications:
- Application opens Monday, January 5
- Deadline: Friday, January 23
- Requirements: Two letters of recommendation and a video interview
- Information Sessions:
- January 13 and January 15 at Volvo Car University in Ridgeville (270 Three Point Dr, Ridgeville, SC 29472)
- Program Dates:
- Cohort 1: Feb 21, Mar 14, Apr 18, May 9
- Cohort 2: Feb 28, Mar 21, Apr 25, May 16
- VAP Graduation: Saturday, July 18
- Eligibility:
- Students must be 17 or older at program start and 18 by July 1, 2026

School Counselors also analyzed the 14 newly revised career clusters to be launched in the fall, reviewed leadership skills, and learned about AI, cybersecurity, and the maritime industry.
The award recognizes local employers that provide and/or participate in career development opportunities or partnerships that focus on the future work world.
