Dorchester County Community Outreach Rebrands as Keys to Change

Rebecca Collett • July 25, 2024

Dorchester County Community Outreach (DCCO) is thrilled to announce we are officially doing business as Keys to Change.

The mission and purpose remain steadfast: providing a welcoming and compassionate environment that empowers men and women to transition out of homelessness and achieve emotional, spiritual, and financial stability.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new name took place on July 24 in front of the center at 821 Central Avenue in Summerville.

For nearly nine years, the organization has been a pillar of support for the unhoused community in Dorchester County. Through extensive prayer and months of diligent work, they recognized the need for a name and imagery that more accurately reflects their mission and the impact they strive to make. The rebranding to Keys to Change encapsulates our commitment to providing the "keys" that unlock opportunities for a better life for our community members.

“We believe that this rebranding highlights our mission better and signifies our ongoing dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Ginny Vicini, Executive Director of Keys to Change. “We all can provide 'keys' to our unhoused community members, enabling them to unlock opportunities that lead to a more stable and fulfilling life.”

"As Keys to Change, we continue our unwavering commitment to the community, working tirelessly to support individuals in overcoming the challenges of homelessness. We are grateful for the continued support of our partners, donors, volunteers, and the entire community, whose generosity and dedication make our work possible."
