SHOP, EAT AND GIVE BACK!

Join us for our Nonprofit Percent Day on Saturday, October 3rd!

Everyone knows that times are hard.  Many businesses and nonprofits in our area are majorly suffering due to the pandemic and a large number are at risk of shutting their doors forever.

Based on a study from the SC Restaurant and Lodging Association, only 66% of their members believe they will remain open through the end of the year.  Many of our nonprofits have had to cancel their major fundraisers due to social distancing requirements.

The Chamber Nonprofit Council created the Nonprofit Percent Day as a way to promote shopping and eating local while giving back to our area nonprofits.

How It Works:

On Saturday, October 3rd, participating shops and restaurants will donate 10% of their sales from that day to a fund that will be split equally to benefit participating nonprofits. Each shop, restaurant and nonprofit is a Chamber member.

If you will be out of town or busy on October 3rd, you can still purchase gift cards or shop online on that day!  All sales from October 3rd go to the fund. Visit the websites of the participating shops and restaurants below.

How You Can Help:

If you are a community member: Shop and eat local as much as you can on October 3rd at the participating shops and restaurants listed below! Also, invite your friends to participate by sharing details on your social media channels!

If you are a local business: Not a retail shop or restaurant?  No problem!  You can support and receive promotion via our sponsorship opportunities.  You must be a Chamber member in good standing to sponsor.  Contact Kevin Szostak at [email protected] for more details.
