The Business Expo offers the business community, from small business entrepreneurs to companies of all sizes, an opportunity to network with local professionals, engage with exhibitors and discover resources for business growth.

The Lowcountry’s largest business-to-business event, the North Charleston Business Expo, is set to showcase over 175 area companies and organizations on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Charleston Area Convention Center.

The event remains free of charge for all attendees.

The Business Expo offers the business community, from small business entrepreneurs to companies of all sizes, an opportunity to network with local professionals, engage with exhibitors and discover resources for business growth.

A featured area this year includes the Nonprofit Pavilion - Sponsored by Parker Land Surveying. Nonprofits are vital to the success of any region. In the Lowcountry, we’re blessed with a robust nonprofit community. Our Nonprofit Pavilion will feature 20 local nonprofits. Be sure to stop by and learn more about their impact on the community and how you can get involved.

Another featured area is the Career Opportunity Center brought to you by Charleston County Economic Development. Workforce development is critically important to the business community. And, as our community continues to enjoy economic growth, many employers are looking for qualified employees. Stop by and meet these employers and discover available job openings and training opportunities to advance your career.

To kick off the Expo with a thought-provoking panel discussion, the Charleston Regional Business Journal will host the region’s mayors, including Mayors Keith Summey, John Tecklenburg, Will Haynie, Ricky Waring, and Greg Habib. The panel will discuss transportation, development, affordable housing, education, and our talent pipeline. The luncheon will also include a brief presentation by the Charleston Regional Development Alliance on the economic status of our region. The Small Business Development Center will present their Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Lunch is scheduled from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and registration is required.

A networking reception will immediately follow the Business Expo from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and offers an additional opportunity to interact with business representatives and entrepreneurs, as well as expo attendees in a relaxed environment.

We’re excited to welcome American Idol finalist Clay Page to the stage to provide additional entertainment.

“North Charleston is perfect place to host the Lowcountry’s largest B2B event,” said North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey. “As the economic powerhouse of the State of South Carolina, the North Charleston Business Expo goes hand-in-hand with our commitment to remain a business-friendly community and a city which fosters an environment ripe for businesses growth.”
