Dawley will share his take on global supply chain disruptions and how KION has responded to them. The company has made key changes that have insulated the organization from another supply chain crisis.

Part of the program will be focused on global business issues and how they have and may continue to impact business in the Summerville/Tri-county region. He will share specific issues the company sees related to the housing marketing, infrastructure, and utilities.

Lastly, Dawley will explain how the company has responded to workforce demands and innovative ways KION has responded to attract and retain employees in the current environment.

Dawley joined the KION Group from Putzmeister Holding GmbH, a subsidiary of Sany Heavy Industry Corporation, where he was head of the Americas region for over two years. Between 2014 and 2018, he was responsible for the global aftermarket business at JLG Industries Corporation, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation. He gained extensive experience in intralogistics as well as in the material handling business in various senior management roles at Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Corporation from 2005 to 2014. Jonathan Dawley studied business administration at Baker College in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA.

Truluck was named Director of Dorchester County Economic Development in 2014. Previously, he led industrial recruitment efforts for Clarendon County, where he also once served as Emergency Services Director.   In his first four years with Dorchester County, John played a pivotal role in the creation of more than 1,600 jobs and nearly $300 million in capital investments.

In an effort to strengthen Dorchester County’s competitive status among others in the region, John spearheaded the creation of Advance Dorchester, a 501 (C) (3), designed to raise funds from private sector investors. These funds are allocated to four key pillars that are instrumental in successful economic development: marketing; product development; prospect development; and workforce development.
