Dorchester Paws accepting new payment types

Venmo, Cryptocurrency & Donate Now, Pay Later

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Dorchester Paws is now accepting new payment options in hopes of reaching more donors and giving them the place they feel most comfortable donating through.

CryptoCurrency

Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning the donor will not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. This means that Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other crypto donations is one of the most tax-efficient ways to support the animals of Dorchester Paws! When donors donate cryptocurrency to Dorchester Paws, the shelter immediately converts your donation to fiat which means all donations are non-refundable and cashed out immediately to help the animals. The first $2,500 donated next week will match $1 for $1!!!

Donate Now, Pay Later

By using this option, the donor chooses the amount they would like to donate, the payment plan and the pay over time! It's that easy! The first $2,500 donated next week will match $1 for $1!!!

Venmo

@dorchesterpaws to donate now!

Other ways to donate:

  • Mail checks to 136 Four Paws Lane, Summerville SC 29483
  • Text "paws" to 71760
  • Donate via paypal
  • Donate IRA, Stocks or Bonds
  • Leave your Estate to the animals of Dorchester Paws

"With GivingTuesday ahead, we could not think of a better time to make it even easier for the public to donate to a shelter that desperately needs their support, '' says Danielle Zuck, Director of Development. "For anyone who donates next week, via CryptoCurrency of the Donate Now, Pay Later option, the money will be matched! Everyone has a platform they are most comfortable donating through and today, our shetler is ensuring we make it easy for them.All money raised will go towards the care of a very outdated and overcrowded shelter."
