Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Department Launches Community Marketing Survey to Strengthen Resident Engagement

Member Submission • March 4, 2026

Share how you receive information, which platforms you prefer, and how you stay informed about programs, events, and park amenities.

The Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Department is inviting residents to take part in a newly launched Community Marketing Survey designed to enhance communication, outreach, and overall engagement with the community. As Dorchester County continues to grow, the department is committed to ensuring its messaging, programs, and services connect effectively with the residents it serves.

This brief survey will help the department better understand how residents receive information, what communication platforms they prefer, and how they learn about programs, events, and park amenities. By gathering direct feedback, the department can refine its marketing strategies, expand its reach, and ensure that opportunities for recreation are accessible and visible to all.

Opening March 1, 2026, the online survey takes approximately three minutes to complete, making participation quick and convenient. Every response will provide valuable insight to help the department improve how it shares information and engages with the community.

As a thank you for participating, residents who complete the survey will be entered into a giveaway, with one winner to be notified on March 31, 2026.

The Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Department appreciates the community’s continued involvement and looks forward to using this feedback to better inform, connect, and serve residents across Dorchester County.

“Your Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing exceptional parks and recreational experiences for the residents of Dorchester County.

As we continue to grow, it is important that we listen to our community and understand

how we can communicate and serve you more effectively. This survey provides

residents with an opportunity to share their feedback and help guide how we connect,

engage, and deliver services moving forward,” said Austin Zuniga, Parks & Recreation Director.
