SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of Jaydee Wood as its new Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications.

A Lowcountry native with a deep understanding of the region, Wood brings experience in marketing, communications, member engagement and public service to the Chamber. In her new role, she will drive investor engagement and retention by showcasing the value of Chamber programs, sponsorship opportunities, products, and services, while strengthening the Chamber’s visibility and connection with the broader community.

Born and raised in Summerville, Wood earned an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from Trident Technical College. She later graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies and a concentration in Applied Communication.

Wood's professional background includes service as a clerk for Charleston County Government, work as a paralegal and a role as marketing director for a local marketing agency. Her work in marketing earned the 2023 Charleston American Marketing Association award for Best E-Newsletter.

Most recently, Wood served as Membership Engagement Manager at the Mount Pleasant Chamber, where she focused on member relationships, engagement and support for the local business community. That experience, combined with her communications background and knowledge of the Lowcountry, prepares her to help advance the Chamber's mission and keep members connected to its work.

Outside of work, Wood enjoys life in Summerville with her three dogs and two cats. She also spends time with friends and family, keeps up with movie recommendations and enjoys reading.
