The Chamber is now accepting applications and nominations for the 2022 Chamber Annual Awards.

The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year award program is designed to recognize the dedication, achievement and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by exceptional local businesses and people.

The 2022 award recipients will be recognized as part of the Chamber’s Membership Appreciation and Awards Celebration on January 26, 2023.

All nominations are judged by an independent judging panel of business leaders from around the nation. Fellow business and self-nominations are encouraged.

Only members in good standing of the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce will be considered.

The deadline to enter is Friday, Dec 9, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Any entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

This award was designed to celebrate a young professional who is making an impact within their company and industry as a whole. They have distinguished themselves as a future leader, exemplifying innovative thinking, team work and community engagement.

Nonprofit of the Year: CLICK HERE

Nonprofit of the Year award is designed to recognize the dedication, achievement and philanthropic spirit displayed by exceptional local non-profits.

Trailblazer of the Year: CLICK HERE

This award will go to an outstanding female leader in her industry. The recipient will be courageous, innovative, and passionate. This person will have blazed a trail in her industry for the women in business behind her.

Volunteer of the Year: CLICK HERE

This award is given to a person that has demonstrated exceptional service to the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber. The ideal nominee has given their time and talents to the betterment of the Summerville and Dorchester County area through volunteerism with service, civic, charitable, and/or religious organizations.

We are excited to invite you to complete a survey that will reveal which tools employers most desire when recruiting and retaining talent. South Carolina is developing a new statewide education and workforce portal—a centralized platform to help employers connect with talent, training resources, and workforce development partners. Your input is critical in shaping the features of this portal to best meet the needs of businesses like yours. This survey will help us identify the most valuable features for employers and how the portal can complement or enhance your existing tools. Your feedback will directly influence the development and prioritization of key features. The survey is open and will close by EOB on Monday, November 10, 2025 .
