The Chamber is pleased to announce the addition of Rebecca Collett to the team. She joins the Chamber team to direct all external communications and oversee the marketing strategy.

Rebecca, of Collett Media, has a varied background in mass communications and public relations. Her career has taken her across the state and as far away as California . She's written for various news outlets and publications and representing clients from a variety of industries.

She began her career in the newspaper industry working the sports department at The State before joining the NBC-affiliate in Myrtle Beach. After her time in the Grand Strand, she moved to Charleston as the nighttime reporter for WCBD News 2.

During the last decade, she worked as a general assignment and investigative reporter, anchor, and eventually worked her way to Managing Editor. In that role she oversaw the station’s content decisions on various platforms along with talent acquisition.

Rebecca left the TV station in January of 2020 to welcome home her third son. Three months later, she launched Collett Media. The boutique PR company focuses on video production, media coordination, content creation, and social media development.

As part of the team at the Chamber, she will implement the marketing strategy and oversee the external communications.

Rebecca was raised in Summerville and currently lives in Dorchester County with her husband, Larry, and three sons, Naaman, Beaudrot, and Ryan.
