SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Shon Barnwell Events is honored to announce its selection as theTrident Regional Education and Workforce Advisory Board (RECAB) nominee for the 2026 South Carolina Workforce Champion Award, a prestigious recognition presented by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and Governor Henry
McMaster.
The Workforce Champion Award recognizes employers that demonstrate exceptional commitment to connecting students and educators with career awareness, workforce development, and experiential learning opportunities. Established in 2023, the award highlights businesses that help prepare South Carolina's future workforce through meaningful engagement and industry partnerships.
Shon Barnwell Events was nominated by the Trident RECAB in recognition of its ongoing support of workforce development initiatives throughout the region, including programs such as School Counselor Day, School Counselor for a Day, Leave High School STRONG, Career One-on-One, and other efforts designed to expose students to career opportunities and pathways to success.
