Ribbon Cutting Request Form

We are happy to be a part of your ribbon cutting celebration to honor a grand opening, business anniversary,  remodel/addition, etc.  Let us celebrate with you! 

We offer ribbon cuttings to New Members for a $100 fee.  The New Member will receive a $100 credit on their first year renewal, if the renewal invoice is paid by the due date.

Renewing Members may host a complimentary ribbon cutting, as long as they are in good standing, meaning they paid their renewal invoice by the due date.  

Non-Members may host a ribbon cutting for a $350 fee.

New business (open less than six months)
Recent renovation/remodel (within three months of completion date)
Business relocated (within three months of relocation)
Business expanded (new department/service or permanent extended hours)
Anniversary of business (1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 25+ years)
Business name changed or new ownership

NOTE:

We offer ribbon cutting ceremonies during the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. A $100 fee will be charged for a ceremony outside those hours and must be paid prior to ceremony. Suggested time and date will be coordinated with local official and Chamber calendar.  We do not offer ribbon cuttings on weekends.

NOTE:

The Chamber will invite the elected official that represents your business address.   It is up to the official to accept or decline.   If the official is not able to attend, a Chamber representative will cut the ribbon.

NOTE:

At the ribbon cutting, the Chamber will take pictures that will be shared on the Chamber's website and social media pages along with a brief article about your business. Also an article and photo will be sent to the local media for publication. This is another added value as part of your membership.

Service Area

The Greater Summerville/ Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce service area has no specific boundaries. Any company that is either located or has a business presence within the greater Summerville or Dorchester areas are invited and encouraged to be a part of the Chamber.
