New offering gives small businesses and nonprofits a clear picture of what’s breaking, what’s missing, and what to fix first, with free self-assessment tools now available at lisleconsulting.com/audit

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Lisle Consulting Group, a boutique operations consulting firm serving small businesses, nonprofits, and municipal governments, today announced the formal launch of its Operations Audit. The audit is a structured assessment service designed to help growing organizations identify systemic gaps, eliminate bottlenecks, and build the operational foundation required to scale with confidence.

The Operations Audit is built around a proven four-step framework: Discovery, Audit, Scoring, and Roadmap. Engagements evaluate seven core areas of organizational health, including documentation and SOPs, leadership and decision-making, process and workflow design, KPI and dashboard infrastructure, team roles and accountability, revenue or fundraising systems, and technology utilization. Clients receive four deliverables upon completion: an Operational

Scorecard, a Bottleneck Map, a Gap Analysis, and a 90-Day Implementation Roadmap.

DESIGNED FOR BOTH SMALL BUSINESSES AND NONPROFITS

The Operations Audit is purpose-built for two distinct client profiles, each with a framework tailored to their unique operating environment.

For small businesses with five to fifty employees, common challenges addressed include owner dependency, inconsistent service delivery, a lack of documented standard operating procedures, weak performance dashboards, and unclear roles and accountability structures.

For nonprofit organizations, the audit addresses executive director overload, program inconsistency, grant reporting stress, weak board accountability systems, and unpredictable fundraising infrastructure — all of which impair mission delivery and organizational sustainability.

“Growth should create leverage, not chaos,” said Mike Lisle Jr., Founder and

Principal of Lisle Consulting Group. “When organizations grow without systems,

complexity outpaces capacity. The Operations Audit gives leaders a clear,

honest picture of where they stand and a practical roadmap for what to do next.”

FREE SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOLS NOW AVAILABLE

In conjunction with the audit launch, Lisle Consulting Group has released two complimentary Operations Self-Assessment tools — one designed for small businesses and one for nonprofits — available for download at lisleconsulting.com/audit. The self-assessments are designed to help organizational leaders identify:

  • Operational gaps and missing systems
  • Internal bottlenecks slowing growth or impact
  • Weak or undocumented processes
  • Missing performance dashboards and KPI visibility
  • Priority areas for immediate improvement

The tools are designed to be completed independently and provide a starting point for leaders considering whether a formal audit engagement is the right next step.

THREE ENGAGEMENT OPTIONS TO MATCH ORGANIZATIONAL READINESS

The Operations Audit is available through three structured engagement tiers, each designed to meet organizations at their current stage of operational development:

All engagements begin with a complimentary discovery conversation to assess organizational fit and define scope. Existing processes are not a disqualifier. The audit evaluates whether current processes are documented, consistently followed, measurably tracked, and built to scale.
