Danielle Mercer

Danielle Mercer is the Chief of Community Relations and Business Development at Heart Pine Homes, a small family business founded in 2016 by her husband, Travis, a licensed builder. They have deep roots in the community, both born and raised in Summerville, graduated from Summerville High School where they both played in the marching band, and still reside in the area. Once a college dropout, Danielle graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate in Applied Science in Management and Leadership Development from Trident Technical College in 2023.

Danielle’s love for Summerville shines through her involvement in the community. She's a graduate of Leadership Dorchester, Class of 2020, where she not only served as the class project leader but also currently sits on the Leadership Dorchester Advisory Council. Dedicated to community service, she created Volunteer in The Ville, a thriving Facebook group connecting residents with local nonprofits in need of assistance. An avid volunteer, you may spot Danielle enthusiastically cheering on participants at a 5K, efficiently managing event registration tables, or creatively encouraging you to buy a raffle ticket. She also serves on the Special Events Committee for Dorchester Habitat for Humanity.

Alongside her participation in the Summerville Chamber, Danielle is an active member of the Charleston Home Builders Association and the Palmetto Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. Additionally, she co-founded Summerville Sisterhood, a Facebook group dedicated to uniting local women from diverse backgrounds, fostering new friendships, promoting their businesses, and offering unwavering support for one another.

Danielle, Travis, and their beloved pup Jake currently call Knightsville home. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, line dancing, attending country concerts, deer hunting, and vacationing at Edisto Beach.
